The women who made punk rock what it was and what it is and continues to be are celebrated here today, International Women's Day.

I am including Margaret Saadi Kramer, pictured below with her husband, Waye Kramer, a founder of Detroit's MC5, who along with The Stooges and The Velvet Underground inadvertently laid the groundwork for punk rock. Margaret and Wayne carry the DIY torch. Check out their Jail Guitar Doors program. (Yes, the Clash song... they wrote it for and about Wayne)
