Remembering the Ramones on Joey's Birthday

We gladly interrupt Punk Turns 30's salute to the ladies of punk rock to remember the departed members of the Ramones.

Today is Joey Ramone's birthday, and for the past six years, since his passing in April 2001, his brother, Mickey Leigh, a rock n roller himself (The Rattlers!) has promoted a concert to celebrate his celebrated brother. Its always sold out, and for good reason. We love the Ramones, and Joey was a lovable icon for generations. 2007 marks the 7th annual Joey Ramone Birthday Bash.
