Ann Magnuson and Kristian Hoffman Show Tonight!

Well, I do not have any photographs of Ann Magnuson, however, I think she's fab. She can walk the punk line and the cabaret line and does both so well, and tonight in NYC's fabulous borough of Manhattan, at Joe's Pub, my favorite punk rock musical director, Kristian Hoffman, of Mumps, Swinging Madisons, Klaus Nomi, Dave Davies, oh the list goes on and on.....Anyway, Kristian will be accompanying (the following are his words) international glamorpuss Ann Magnuson on keys at Joe's Pub, Friday May 18th, to promote her brand new CD "Pretty Songs & Ugly Stories, which Kristian just happened to produce, arrange, and co-write!


The fabulous Joe McGinty will be leading his legendary "Loser's Lounge" band as their accompanists. That's Joe in the center of the three keyboard heroes of the greater NY area - Dave Amels (Reigning Sound) and Andy Burton (Ian Hunter, more) flank him .

If you happen to live in or near Memphis and are looking to hear some great music... tomorrow night, Saturday, May 19 at the Hi Tone you can see and hear Jack Oblivian and Harlan T. Bobo with their respective bands on the very same night. If I could travel with the snap of my fingers, I'd see Ann Magnuson tonight and jetset down to Memphis to see Jack and Harlan tomorrow.
