999

999 2 frames

In the UK, one dials "999" for emergencies (here in the USA, one dials "911") - so its fitting that one of the longest-standing, hardest working bands on the punk circuit, 999 had a hit with a song called "Emergency."

These are a couple of frames taken outside the now-shut down Tower Records on Sunset Blvd. after the band's in-store. That's not a limo behind them.... it is a customer's car, and you can even see the curious passenger in the back seat/rear window.

999 have done 15 tours of the USA, but I saw them only once. They attracted an aggressive audience of lads and KROQ listeners, and I think they still do. Its quite impressive that they are carrying on thirty years down the line, with much the original line-up still intact! Their Official Website will keep you posted.
