Kid Congo Goes On Tour

The lovely and talented, the kind and koo-koo, one of my life-long friends, someone I've known since we were teenagers.... Kid Congo Powers and his Pink Monkey Birds are going on tour this fall! Because Kid's like a brother to me, I will remind you relentlessly when a tour date approaches.

Kid's an immense talent. When Jeffrey Lee Pierce encouraged young Brian Tristan to play, he really stepped up to the plate... he had such a unique sound that The Cramps stole him and made him change his name (they had just fired a guy named Bryan)... Gun Club got him back, but Kid has also graced stages and records with Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Fur Bible, Knoxville Girls, Angels of Light... am I forgetting anyone, Kid?
